I am pleased to recommend Nepal Film Production and their team, who provided local production services to Pinang Films Sdn Bhd for the Nepal leg of Global Escapades, a 24-city international destination series produced for Malaysia Airlines.

Working across the Kathmandu Valley as well as Pokhara and Sarangkot, the team handled location permits, drone clearances, ground logistics and on-set coordination with efficiency and care. Several of our locations carried access restrictions and cultural sensitivities, and they navigated these with a thorough understanding of local requirements and the relevant authorities.

Most significantly, they secured two helicopter flights to Annapurna Base Camp, which became the highlight of the entire film. Aerial access of that kind involves considerable coordination including weather windows, permits, operators and crew safety, and the team delivered it seamlessly. The resulting footage is the standout sequence of the production, and it simply would not exist without their persistence and local relationships.

When we experienced an equipment malfunction on location, the team sourced a replacement camera in Kathmandu matching our exact model and had it on set within the hour. Finding a specific camera body at short notice is no small feat in any city, and their doing so meant our schedule continued uninterrupted with no shoot time lost.

Equally notable was their temperament throughout. Their entire team were helpful, respectful and remarkably calm even as plans shifted. They consistently approached problems with solutions and were a genuine pleasure to work alongside.

I would not hesitate to engage Nepal Film Production again for future productions in Nepal.
